Gitano van Berkenbroeck, the brown son of Nabab de Reve is available again to stand at stud! The stallion recently jumped successfully at the highest level under Juan Carlos Garcia and not without merit: last year he won both the CSI4* ranking class and the Grand Prix of Poznan and the CSI3* Grand Prix of Arezzo. Even on CSIO5* level the stallion jumped to victory in Calgary and Hickstead and multiple clear rounds followed in Lummen, Gijon, Barcelona, ...
In addition to his performances in the sport, Gitano's value for breeding cannot be denied! Despite not having covered much mares, the oldest offspring are now eight. You will undoubtedly know the champion of the 7-year-old stallions, Leandro VG (Chellano), but that is not the only Gitano champion. Last year only two Gitano van Berkenbroeck offspring participated at the BC for 6-year-olds: Fauve DB (mv. Clinton) under Caio Carvalho and La Costa (mv. Calvino Z) under Vicky van de Poel. A total of 204 six-year-old horses entered the start at this Belgian Championship, but it was Fauve DB and La Costa who claimed place 1 and 2.
And it doesn't stop there: last weekend Gini Z (Contender) was 4th in the class for 6-year-old horses at CSIYH Lanaken. Last month, in Lanaken as well, Gazpacho vd Berghoeve Z (Mr Calvaro Z) was approved as a breeding stallion. Other well-known Gitano offspring are Kiekeboe van het Kriekenhof (1m45 level with Valentine Husson), K.O. v. Berkenbroeck (1m45 with Manuel Pizzato), Lady Gaga von Rocherath (1m35 with Giulia Levi), Kitana ter Damme (1m30 with Frans Wijlaars) and so on!
